Moving to San Francisco in 1971, Pat established himself as one of the premiere photographers across all spectrums of the music scene. His work goes from one end of the spectrum to the other, From David Bowie, Sting, Ringo and Fleetwood Mac, to Jefferson Starship, Journey, Doobie Brothers, Santana to Tupak, Biggie, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre to Donnie and Marie, Tony Bennett, Andy Gibb, New Kids on the Block to John Lee Hooker, Johnny and Edgar Winter, Bonnie Raitt, Elvin Bishop to Jack Jones, Florence Henderson, Mitzi Gaynor to Michael Jackson, James Brown, Ashford and Simpson to Rick James. The breadth and list is staggering.
His images are constantly in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and he has recently been awarded the prestigious LA Music Awards for Lifetime Achievement.
“I was deeply influenced by the early British LP covers of the likes of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Kinks and the Yardbirds painted themselves in my psyche. I adored David Bailey and Richard Avedon. Those were my heroes.”
